We always look forward to the bi-annual KnowShow in Vancouver – amidst the bevy of friendly and handsome men you’ll meet – it’s the place to be to scope out next season’s lifestyle, fashion and sports wear. With headspace still in summer bikini mode it was a delight to preview Spring/Summer 2013 from over 300 exhibitors. With cocktails, beer and hotdogs in hand, and live music spinning in the background, we captured what’s to come in the new year. See images here.

Yesterday New York Fashion Week came to a wrap and there were many memorable pieces for Fall/Winter 2012. Anna Sui channeled ’70s go-go dancers and crafted adorable appliqué owl toques. There was an endless supply of fur at Band of Outsiders and Michael Kors. While Victoria Beckham (debuting her diffusion line Victoria) and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (Elizabeth and James) presented clean sophisticated lines for winter. But it was Jeremy Scott’s ode to unicorns and Bart Simpson that turned heads. Continue for photos…

Will Broome, best known for illustrating the Miss Marc collection for Marc by Marc Jacobs, is an artist whose illustrations are no doubt reflections of his own quirky personality. Don’t be alarmed if the next words to catch on in to his work have to do with clean underpants. Read about the St. Martin’s graduate and take a peek into his studio in, The Nine. Continue…
For Australian-duo Fiona Lau and Kain Picken, naming their label ffiXXed wasn’t difficult. “We needed a name that could represent different things we wanted to do,” says Picken. “Something that had no real meaning, and ffiXXed is what we came up with.” The fashion/art collective – now into its fourth collection, surviving sustainability:__________, a Spring/Summer collection methodically constructed to suit our everyday needs (think pickpocket-proof pieces) – is busy preparing an exhibition (tentatively titled, Thanks for the Dinner and Sex) opening this month in Hong Kong’s fashion and design retailer, Kapok.
