Bonjour 2012!

Happy 2012! It’s a new year, and many new things to look forward to. See our list of what to expect in 2012…

Karl by Karl Lagerfeld for Net-a-Porter
The fourth line to come from Lagerfeld will be released on the luxury e-commerce site January 25. Price range from $50 to $1000.

Iris Apfel for M.A.C. Cosmetics
Released this month, M.A.C collaborated with Queens’ most fashionable iconic business woman, Iris Apfel. Bold pigments of red, teal and pink; we expect nothing less of opulence.

Cindy Sherman retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art
Starting February 26 to June 11, MoMA will be displaying 180 photographs by famed artist/photographer Cindy Sherman. Select films by the artist will also run during the course of the exhibit.

Marni for H&M
Fashion-fiends prepare yourselves. If you thought the Lanvin collaboration was too much to handle, March 8th will be a whirlwind. The collaboration will feature a limited edition t-shirt benefiting The Red Cross’ Japan tsunami relief fund. To round off the buzz, the Swedish label brought in Sofia Coppola to direct the much anticipated Marni commercial.

Prada’s LG Android phone
The LG Prada version 3.0 Android cellphone will rival it’s competitors; not only in its design interface (the phone contains a 1.0GHz Dual Core processor, a 8-megapixel camera, and a 4.3-inch display screen), but in style too (the mobile’s back design is Prada’s Saffiano pattern). The phone arrives in stores mid-January in Asia and the UK in early February.
